I have been married for nine years; my husband and I are going through a difficult period right now....he does not believe that he has to set boundaries for his family...He also has a niece and nephew living in another house next door to us, he pays their bills...
My husband WAS a recovering alcoholic . He has drastically fallen off the wagon again. I love him dearly, but cannot endure a lifetime of the lying, secrets, drunkenness and basically a husband who would prefer to stay at the office and drink than be with his family...
Is it alright for two Christians to live together without being married? My sister's boyfriend's brother, who is a Christian, lives with his girlfriend. I don't know if there is any sexual activity going on, but I think this is influencing my sister to consider doing the same. She feels that there is nothing wrong with spending the night at her boyfriend's house or having him spend the night at our house. How does God feel about this? Is it living in sin?
Our friends are allowing their son and his girlfriend to live together in their house without being married. How are we to approach the subject and show them that it's inappropriate for the kids to live together?
My husband and I live in Texas. My husband's sister lives in Pennsylvania. She has had a hard time making it financially. Her son has left his wife and three children and is living with another woman. My sister-in-law is living with her daughter-in-law, and they try to help each other financially. The oldest son is living with the daughter-in-law's brother, even though she is still very much involved in his life.
Where in the Bible does it give permission for 3rd cousins to marry? My granddaughter is pursuing a relationship with her 3rd cousin whom she has never seen and just talks with over the internet. She seems to think the book of Leviticus permits this. Please answer.One of our daughters is planning to marry a young man this Dec 28. Here is the problem: He, in particular, and she, (I believe mis-guidedly believing it her role now, even, before she is married) to a lesser degree, are adamantly almost ordering us to have beer and wine at their reception.
