Question about what a wife should share about her past after she is saved.

November 24, 2016 By Gary Panell Leave a Comment

“HI, I JUST GOT SAVED AND I AM MARRIED. I DID HAVE AN AFFAIR IN THIS MARRIAGE AND MY HUSBAND FOUND OUT, BUT HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH PROOF OF IT COZ I DIDN’T ADMIT IT. I JUST TWISTED THE WHOLE SITUATION AS HE WAS THREATENING TO TAKE ME BACK TO MY PARENTS. NOW THAT I AM SAVED, I [HAVE] CONFFESSED MY SINS TO GOD. NOW, I AM AFRAID IF I TELL HIM HE WILL DEVORCE ME. HE IS NOT SAVED.”

Gary’s answer:  Hi, it is good that you received the Lord Jesus into your heart. Now, you will need to pray and ask God whether He wants you to tell your husband or not, and if so, when is the best time. Trust God to help you. Look up Romans 8:28 where it says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” We will be praying for you. God bless you, Brother Gary and Marlene
