‘Kill Trump’ skit criticized for lack of punishment
“Can you imagine,” says Project 21 spokesman Stacy Washington, “if it was Barack Obama?”
The Washington Times reported that two students from Marshall High in San Antonio performed the skit in which one made the sound of a gun and the second student, portraying the president-elect, fell to the ground.
Another skit had been approved for the English class but the students secretly changed it.
A spokesman for the school district said the teacher didn’t approve it and stopped the boys, and the students and teacher were reprimanded.
It’s not clear when the teacher stopped the act but Washington suggests the students should have been told their actions were inappropriate and could result in a visit from the Secret Service.
A skit about President Obama, says Washington, would have resulted in a firing and the students would be sent through a counseling session.
During the Obama administration, a student in North Carolina was threatened with arrest for “disrespecting” Obama during a class discussion.
