Gun Owners of America says the new video describes the ineffectiveness of “gun-free” zones and contrasts that with examples of everyday citizens protecting themselves with firearms.

“It’s a subject to us that seems so obvious,” says GOA executive director Larry Pratt. “That if you told the criminals that there’s no guns legally allowed in a particular place, ten that’s where criminals who are inclined to commit mass murder are going to go.”

The two-minute video features Pratt and his son, Erich Pratt, sharing statistics showing that armed killers seek out victims who are unprotected.

Pratt hopes that the video will spur interest in the presidential campaign. The issue has been ignored by both political parties, he tells OneNewsNow.

“Well, excuse me but there’s a huge pile of bodies in these gun-free zones,” he says. “And we’d better pay attention to it if we’re going to have any respect for the dead at all.”
