Kaepernick gets cut – by the liberal media

 Friday, September 2, 2016

|Steve Jordahl (OneNewsNow.com)

Google headquartersWhile NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been harshly criticized by the average American on social media for his sit-down protest against the national anthem, the media seems to be taking a different view.

Try this at home: Bring up either the Google or Bing search page and start filling in the name “Kaepernick.” Before you’re finished typing, auto-fill will kick in and start suggesting things to search for – such as “Kaepernick socks,” “Kaepernick news,” “Kaepernick cut.” It’s unlikely you’ll see “Kaepernick anthem,” even though that’s all anyone has been talking about for more than a week.

Voice your own opinion about QB’s actions

The American Family Association is allowing people to send a message to the NFL and to the San Francisco 49ers about the Colin Kaepernick protest. The organization is putting together a petition that will be sent to both entities.

“We’re asking them to take action against any players who are disrespectful to the national anthem, to the flag, [or] to our country in general.” That’s Randy Sharp, AFA spokesman.

He adds that it’s up to the NFL to determine what the proper action might be – but …

“When these football players put on a uniform, they represent the NFL and they represent the team that they’re playing for,” Sharp argues. “I believe they have an obligation to be respectful of our country when they’re on the field and when they’re representing their organizations.”

So far the league has supported Kaepernick and others’ right to protest.

Dan Gainor of Media Research Center says it’s yet one more example of a liberal media bias.

Gainor

“There’s been a huge push by the sports media in particular, but the regular media in general, to make sure that all sports leagues and teams are shoved to the left,” he informs. “Whatever liberal agenda item that you don’t care about – LGBT or ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ or whatever – you will be made to care [about that].”

Witness, he says, the NBA recently moving its All-Star Game out of Charlotte, North Carolina, over transgender bathrooms.

Something else not being reported about the Kaepernick controversy – his comments about Hillary Clinton:

Kaepernick: “We have a presidential candidate who’s deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me – because if that was any other person, you’d be in prison.”

Gainor says one respected media outlet actually cut that part of the comments but left in the quarterback calling Donald Trump “racist.”

And it’s not just the media, says Gainor. He’s also tired of celebrities jumping on the bandwagon. “As a fan of sports, of music, of movies, of TV, I am tired of feeling like the people in those fields hate me.”

In contrast to Google and Bing, the Yahoo! search page pops up with: “Kaepernick national anthem.”
