50 pound J.T. Parker prevented a 6K pound vehicle from completely crushing his father to death. The 8 year old Idaho has made headlines after receiving an award from the American Red Cross for his heroic act. How did he do it? J.T. says with the help of angles.

TRUNEWS spoke with J.T. and his dad Stephen Parker via Skype. The incident happened in July of last year, but has come to light after he was honored with The American Red Cross East Idaho Real Hero Award. It is one of 11 awards that will be given out in 2017. When everyone in his community started to ask about the heroic act, the truth came out. Stephen Parker suffered 18 broken ribs and no internal damage, but something he didn’t share with many is that he felt a peace that surpasses all understanding during the tragic incident.
