According to ABC News Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recently offered to resign amid a growingly tense relationship with President Trump over his Russia recusal

(VERO BEACH, FL) According to sources which spoke to the news outlet on condition of anonymity, the friction between President Trump and the former Alabama senator stems from Mr. Sessions’ decision in March to recuse himself from any investigations related to the Russian election hacking probe.

President Trump reportedly learned about Mr. Sessions’ decision only minutes before the announcement on the afternoon of March 2, and according to the ABC report sees the decision as “one of the top disappointments of his presidency so far.”

His disappointment has turned to anger in some cases, the alleged sources close to the President told ABC, evident from multiple lashings out by the commander-in-chief toward Mr. Sessions in private meetings. The unnamed sources claim President Trump blames the recusal for the expansion of the Russian investigation.

These uncomfortable exchanges led the staunch Christian law enforcement official to offer his resignation recently, according to the sources.

Justice Department spokesperson Sarah Isgur Flores declined to comment if Mr. Sessions had threatened or offered to resign, and White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer deflected questions during yesterdays briefing regarding whether the President still had confidence in his attorney general.

TRUNEWS correspondent Edward Szall was unable to independently corroborate these claims, but from his November 8th interview with Mr. Sessions its fair to say the former Alabama lawmaker is a man of honor and integrity, and if a resignation was indeed offered, it was done from a place of wisdom and duty.
