Chelsea Clinton Denies Satan Worship

Chelsea Clinton Denies Satan Worship
Chelsea Clinton spent a good part of a day recently shutting down Twitter comments that allege she worships Satan, and had a hard time doing it.

January 05, 2018

You’re having a bad day when you have to make an effort to deny you’re a Satan worshiper, but Chelsea Clinton’s day on social media recently got much worse than that.

The whole matter got off on the wrong foot when the former First Daughter tweeted a reply to Chrissy Teigen, who was tweeting her outrage over having been connected to an alleged child-sex-trafficking ring. Chelsea Clinton responded with what she likely thought was a lighthearted comment meant to bring a little bit of levity to the discussion:

In 2017, @ChurchofSatan & I were put on a few threads together. In 2018, it’s…@Hooters. What a time to be alive Chrissy!

Of course, the Church of Satan was compelled to respond, which prompted Clinton to note “it’s been so long” since they last conversed. She then wished the Satanists a “happy new year.” They responded with:

Same to you, here’s to a great 2018!

And then, Twitter happened. Several users, commonly referred to as trolls, accused her of worshiping Satan. And in a move she likely wishes she could take back—because tweets are never really ever deleted anymore—she responded:

Oh goodness gracious. We can be civil, cheerful, respectful to & friends with people who don’t share our religious beliefs. Sometimes, we even marry them. I’m a Methodist & my husband is Jewish, thank you for asking.

That then led to a comment from one of her mother’s supporters, who urged her to remind the Satanists to be sure they get signed up for ObamaCare. So, she did:

Hi Carmine – All Americans, regardless of religious beliefs, should get the health care they need. If you live in New York, California and a few other states, there’s still time to #GetCovered for 2018.
