It takes only one drink to become an alcoholic

May 4, 2015 By Gary Panell Leave a Comment

Question: I haven’t finished reading your article, but wanted to thank you for writing this and your detailed research. I use to be an alcoholic. When people tell me that “it’s okay to drink just so it’s not in excess”, I tell them that “IT ONLY TAKES ONE DRINK TO BECOME AN ALCOHOLIC!”

It amazes me the lies that Satan uses to convince many Christians concerning this and other things that affect our mind, spirit and body. God delivered me from alcohol and drug use (THANK YOU JESUS). I stand firm against having it in my home knowing the effects it had in my life. I want to set an example for my daughter as well. Even if I just had an occasional glass of wine with dinner, which could be the occasion that would ruin her life or even cause her to lose it! I believe that NOT having alcohol or wine in my home has been a part in setting the firm foundation that God is building under my 15 yr. old daughter. She has a gentle spirit and sweet heart which desires to know the Lord more and wants to serve Him her entire life. I’m BLESSED.

Thanks again. Keep researching and writing.

Answer: I appreciate your kind words, and God bless you! Brother Gary
