No denying U.S. Muslim population explosion
Even though some figures show that only 1.1 percent of the total U.S. population is currently Muslim, Pew Research Center notes that the 3.45 million Muslims in the U.S. – up from 3.31 million in 2016 – is quickly surpassing and catching up to other religious groups.
“[O]ur projections suggest that the U.S. Muslim population will grow much faster than the country’s Jewish population,” Pew Research Center reported. “By 2040, Muslims will replace Jews as the nation’s second-largest religious group after Christians, [a]nd by 2050, the U.S. Muslim population is projected to reach 8.1 million, or 2.1 percent of the nation’s total population – nearly twice the share of today.”
Continued Obama effect?
Since around the time pro-Muslim/pro-immigration former President Barack Obama took office a decade ago, the Muslim population in the U.S. has grown by leaps and bounds.
“When we first conducted a study of Muslim Americans in 2007, we estimated that there were 2.35 million Muslims of all ages (including 1.5 million adults) in the U.S,” Pew’s Besheer Mohamed recounted. “By 2011, the number of Muslims had grown to 2.75 million (including 1.8 million adults). Since then, the Muslim population has continued to grow at a rate of roughly 100,000 per year – driven both by higher fertility rates among Muslim Americans as well as the continued migration of Muslims to the U.S.”
More than we think?
One American Muslim organization that has been reported to have deep ties to Islamic terrorism, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) argues that the numbers provided by Pew greatly underrepresent America’s actual Muslim population, which it claimed – nearly three years ago – was twice (6–8 million) Pew’s current estimate.
“Muslim advocacy groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations routinely cite a span of 6 million to 8 million people in describing the size of Islam in America,” CAIR announced in March 2015 on its website. “That would be between 2 percent and 3 percent of the U.S. population and make Muslims greater in number than Mormons or Jews.”
Even with CAIR’s lower-end estimate, Muslim Americans would already outnumber Jewish Americans.
“If CAIR – an offshoot of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood – is correct and there are at least 6 million Muslims living in the U.S., that would represent 2.4 percent of the total population and exceed the number of Jewish Americans by about a million,” WND pointed out.
It is also reported that as the Muslim population increases in any nation, so does anti-Semitism.
“France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the U.K. have all seen increasing numbers of hate crimes against Jews and Jewish properties since they began importing mass numbers of Muslim migrants,” WND’s Leo Hohmann reported. “It has gotten so bad in France and Germany that many Jews have been quietly migrating out of those countries in recent years.”
CAIR argues that Islam has already passed Judaism’s 5.3 million adherents as the runner-up behind Christianity, which is America’s most populous religious group.
“[U]nlike the Muslim population, Judaism is not growing in America, due largely to low birthrates,” Hohmann explained. “The main drivers of Muslim population are high fertility rates of Muslim women – compared to Christian and Jewish women – along with continued migration of Muslims into the U.S. from abroad.”
It is likely that CAIR is accurate when it asserts that the number of Muslims is America is discounted, which is probably due to politically correct protocol adopted by the U.S. Census Bureau.
“Pew itself admits that that estimated Muslim population growth is difficult because there is no official count – the U.S. Census does not ask Americans their religious affiliation, so Pew is offering what amounts to its best guess based on its own surveys, outside sources and previous research,” Hohmann noted. “The true size of the U.S. Muslim population is likely somewhere in the middle of the Pew estimate and the CAIR estimate, probably around 5 million.”
Business, not just politics, spiking Muslim immigration
Another reason behind the burgeoning Muslim population in the U.S. has to do with cheap labor demanded by America’s food processing industry, as WND reports that 5–12 percent of the meatpacking employees are refugees – due to numerous groups in the U.S. making it a business to draw them in.
“Meat plants, in particular, and the food-processing industry in general, have long been a gateway into the United States for Third Worlders looking for a better economic lot in life,” Hohmann stressed.
Refugee placement in other specific industries is the U.S. is also no coincidence.
“Lutheran Refugee and Immigration Service doing business as Lutheran Social Services, along with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, doing business as Catholic Charities, and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, World Relief and several secular resettlement agencies serve as virtual headhunters for these global conglomerates in search of cheap labor for their hotels and factories,” Hohmann informed.
In fact, the ethnic populations of numerous cities in the nation’s interior have literally turned upside-down over the past decade, with large employers doing all they can to attract cheap Muslim labor.
“Entire small cities and towns throughout the South and especially the Midwest have been transformed demographically over the last 10 years by the meatpacking industry – cities such as Greeley and Fort Collins, Colorado; Lexington, Nebraska; Noel, Missouri; Aberdeen, South Dakota; Fargo, North Dakota; Garden City and Dodge City, Kansas; St. Cloud, Melrose, Willmar, Austin and Worthington, Minnesota,” the immigration expert listed off. “Tyson Foods, for instance, even built a mosque inside its meatpacking plant in tiny Noel, Missouri, to encourage Muslim workers to come work there without having to leave the plant for daily prayer time.”
Appearing to be a religious or humanitarian organization, one group has turned Muslim immigration into a big business.
“Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services has signed a deal to provide a pilot program for meat-processing giant JBS Swift to train refugee labor inside the company’s plants in four states,” Hohmann announced. “If it is successful, JBS plans to roll it out nationwide to more than 100 plants. The Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services – whose top eight executives all bring home salaries of between $112,000 and $300,000 – has profited greatly from its ties to global meat packers.”
One familiar household name for yogurt has been drawing the Muslim population to the Pacific Northwest for years, as Refugee Resettlement Watch’s Ann Corcoran has drawn attention to the global movement of migrants to Chobani’s Twin Falls, Idaho, plant that it has tracked over the years.
“Big Yogurt has learned from Big Meat,” Corcoran impressed, according to WND.
Trends in America’s Islamization
Even though American public schools and universities have increasingly promoted Islam and indoctrinated students with the belief that it is a religion of peace in the name of tolerance and multiculturalism, the number of new adherents is not on the rise, as Pew pointed out that conversions to Islam are not a factor in rise of the U.S. Muslim population.
“Religious conversions haven’t had a large impact on the size of the U.S. Muslim population – largely because about as many Americans convert to Islam as leave the faith,” Mohamed emphasized. “Indeed, while about one-in-five American Muslim adults were raised in a different faith tradition and converted to Islam, a similar share of Americans who were raised Muslim now no longer identify with the faith.”
Meanwhile, it is noted that a distinct high concentration of Muslims live in certain urban areas, including Washington, D.C., and this trend is also exhibited in a handful of states, such as New Jersey, which has two to three times more Muslim adults per capita than the national average. A higher rate of Muslims is also witnessed in California, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, Minnesota, Idaho, South Dakota and North Dakota. On the other hand, states that have a considerably lower amount of Muslims include Hawaii, Mississippi, Alabama and South Carolina.
Multiple contributing factors go into the fluctuation of Muslim populations from coast to coast.
“[M]uch of this discrepancy can be explained by tracking the movement of the meatpacking and hotel industries into more rural and semi-rural areas – not just major cities,” Hohmann recounted.
He also pointed to the trend that mega-mosques are popping up throughout the country – even in areas sparsely populated with Muslims – in the hopes of transforming communities into Muslim zones.
“Another indicator of the rapidly increasing U.S. Muslim population is the explosive growth in the number of mosques being built,” Hohmann added. “There are more than 3,200 mosques now in the U.S., and more than 70 percent of them have been built since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.”
