High school rape made possible by sanctuary nation
The sexual assault on the girl was carried out at Rockville High School in Maryland’s Montgomery County, where the school district has been called out on its laissez-faire attitude regarding illegals. (See earlier story)

Partial blame put on hometown companiesChad Groening (OneNewsNow.com) A corporate watchdog for conservatives is calling two major corporations to task for financially supporting radical groups that advocate for sanctuary city policies. Corporate watchdog 2nd Vote has published a report that reveals GEICO Insurance and Marriott International – both based in Montgomery County, Maryland – have donated money to the National Council of LaRaza and other Hispanic advocacy groups. “… Both [of these corporations] directly fund these organizations that help keep these policies in place,” notes Robert Kuykendall is director of communications for 2nd Vote. “These [are] dangerous policies that put people in all our communities at risk.” Kuykendall points out that corporations cannot support these types of organizations without consumers spending money for their services. “We wouldn’t vote for sanctuary policies at the ballot box, so why are we funding the advocacy that we would vote against? It doesn’t make any sense,” he states. “And if it means we need to start looking at other places to do business, then that’s how we’re going to hold them accountable.” 2nd Vote is encouraging conservatives to contact both GEICO and Marriott International and encourage them to stop funding sanctuary policies. |
Welcoming illegals, imperiling citizens
Warning Americans that violence and other criminal behavior of illegal aliens expands far outside any particular school, city, county or state, Conservative Review Senior Editor Daniel Horowitz says America is paying the price for its decision to be a sanctuary nation.
“I think it’s important to remember that this really starts with the feds,” Horowitz expressed, according to WND. “People are focusing on sanctuary cities, but we’ve had a sanctuary nation policy where, essentially, we’ve telegraphed a message to Latin America that if you come here with children, even teenagers – even hardened criminals and gang members – you are here to stay.”
The root of the problem, according to Horowitz, is that the United States is running an entire program that is dedicated to resetting unaccompanied minors who reside in America as illegal aliens – similar to the resettlement programs for refugees. He points out that there is at least some kind of a selective resettlement process for refugees – while unaccompanied minors are accepted almost unconditionally.
As the author of Stolen Sovereignty: How to Stop Unelected Judges from Transforming America, Horowitz maintains that the federal government’s willingness to welcome illegal-alien children without question is endangering American citizens.
“The Left has long used children as the hook to support open borders, much like they do with every policy; they want to draw on the emotional strength of children,” the scholar asserted. “But the problem is – like any other population – illegal immigrants are not all innocent children. In fact, Trump had it right when he said during the primary that to a large degree, many people running over our lawless border are not their best citizens.”
Not a good fit …
The high school’s enrollment of the teen rapists – into a grade level several years behind their age – is just one concern brought up by many locals.
“Henry Sanchez, 18, and Jose Montano, 17, were clearly not the best citizens of Guatemala and El Salvador, respectively,” WND’s Paul Bremmer informed. “Sanchez and Montano were the two teens charged with raping their 14-year-old female classmate in the boys’ bathroom of Rockville High School last Thursday. Despite their advanced ages, both boys had been placed in ninth grade at the school. Sanchez had a pending deportation order, which was not carried out while immigration activists tried to block the deportation.”
This same concern was raised by Horowitz, who wondered why a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old – the latter of whom had an ICE detainer against him – were enrolled by school administration with 14- and 15-year-olds in the ninth grade.
“This wasn’t just a random, unfortunate incident of a rape in school – which can happen domestically apart from the problem of illegal immigration,” the immigration expert insisted. “This is a pre-existing problem of people who are pre-dispositioned to be violent, but are also somewhat older and are stuck in ninth grade.”
The Obama administration, says Horowitz, was responsible for romanticizing the concept of the “DREAMer,” which is the term used to describe a hardworking illegal immigrant who was brought into the country – through no fault of his own as a child – and turns into a productive and patriotic member of the U.S. He then stressed that this ideal is often divorced from reality and noted that DREAMers’ entrance into the U.S. is also not the fault of American citizens.
“They have spread this false information … I think the Trump administration has also, in my mind, been responsible for peddling this misinformation, as well – that there’s something about DREAMers, that they’re a cut above everyone else, that they’re all these budding valedictorians and these young, peaceful, apple pie-loving Americans that are just waiting to become Americans,” Horowitz argued. “And certainly, that’s a lot of people; they’re not all bad. There’s some people, I’m sure, that are very good, but again, they are here out of lawful status, and in some cases, through no fault of their own, but certainly no fault of the American people.”
The acclaimed author also shared that a of multitude teens illegally entering the U.S. bring with them a slew of deviant behaviors, noting that in any culture, young males are responsible for most of the violence – a fact that highlights the inherent problem of male DREAMers in America.
“The political argument that somehow these people are unassailable is blown out of the water by this Rockville case,” Horowitz contended.
Obama set the tone
The renowned scholar puts most of the blame of the Rockville High School rape on the Obama administration – for implementing its sanctuary-friendly policies. He also puts some of the blame on the Republican Party, which he says has willfully accepted former President Barack Obama’s policy of putting grievances of illegal aliens above the grievances of American citizens.
In regards to the sanctuary cities established during the Obama administration, Horowitz believes that President Donald Trump will find it difficult to stop their funding – even though the new commander-in-chief previously indicated he would cut federal funds from reaching sanctuary cities. He is doubtful of Trump’s success in the matter because federal courts have made it a habit of defending sanctuary cities.
Horowitz says that because Trump did not do away with Obama’s allegedly unconstitutional amnesty program, his fight to put an end to sanctuary cities is unlikely to succeed.
“By Trump continuing to administer – having his own DHS administer – an illegal, unconstitutional amnesty, he is actually legitimizing sanctuary cities,” Horowitz deduced. “Because a big part of their argument – they’ll focus on the college kids and they’ll say these are DREAMers, these are people who came here as children. That’s their lead argument, and once you agree to that premise – both rhetorically and administratively – it really undercuts his ability to go after sanctuary cities.”
In order to get the illegal alien problem in America under control, Horowitz suggests that Trump should rethink his broader messaging on so-called DREAMers and sternly condemn the lax policies that allowed illegals to rape a young teen at Rockville High School.
“I think he needs to start by getting rid of Obama’s amnesty, because it’s actually a pretty big embarrassment that the courts have denuded him of his ability to lawfully assert American sovereignty and follow statutes to protect our security and our borders,” Horowitz impressed. “Obama’s no longer president and his amnesty is still standing, and Trump is fully administering it.”
