Leftist media embarrassed by Clinton Foundation
Despite its reputation as a very liberal newspaper, The Boston Globe is so embarrassed by the mounting scandals that it is calling on the Clinton Foundation to “stop accepting funds” and transfer its assets “to some other established charity.”
The Clinton Foundation has been under fire since recently released emails revealed that it helped donors get access to then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton – when they could not do so through normal State Department channels.
Capital Research Center (CRC) President Scott Walter’s Washington, D.C.-based organization focuses on exposing the Left’s activists and their donors.
“Given that places like The Boston Globe are usually willing to bend over backwards to defend the Clintons, it’s impressive that in the case of The Boston Globe, they flatly said not only the Foundation should refuse future donations starting immediately, but also that it should utterly disband and disperse all its assets,” Walter expressed. “So even her staunchest defenders realize that this is quite a blotch.”
Walter also says that there are a lot of Democratic voters who are not happy about the kind of corruption the Clinton Foundation symbolizes.
“The Clinton Foundation largely operated in order to take money from the largest corporations in the world and [from] corrupt government,” the head of the watchdog group added. “That’s the kind of thing that your typical Bernie Sanders supporter, who would otherwise of course be voting for the Democratic nominee might conceivably punish her for.”
Walter mentioned that The Globe even acknowledged one of the CRC’s top complaints that many of the Clinton Foundation donations come from overseas, including ones from foreign governments with troubling human rights records.
