Immortality by 2035: Communist Chinese embrace Huawei’s silicon valley trans-humanism

(TRUNEWS) Huawei’s handset product line president Kevin Ho told a Shanghai crowd Wednesday that transhumanism may only be 25 years away.
Huawei is a major Chinese technology giant, and is currently the worlds largest telecommunications equipment producer.
Speaking at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Asia conference, Ho said: “Hunger, poverty, disease or even death may not be a problem by 2035, or 25 years from now. In the future you may be able to purchase computing capacity to serve as a surrogate, to pass the baton from the physical world to the digital world.”
Ho said he uses movies like “The Matrix” as a source of potential ideas for future technology development, noting that in the future children may be able to use a digital communications app to interact with dead grandparents — who prior to death downloaded their human consciousness into a computer.
“That kind of data download volume exceeds current levels,” Ho said. “In the future storage will need to exceed 15,000 Zettabytes so this is a huge increase,” but he noted that this could easily turn into a profitable business for Huawei.
This idea has been embraced by the leader of Communist China, President Xi Jinping, who recently said at an official meeting that members of the Chinese Communist Party must be “unyielding Marxist atheists,” adding that “we [China] must resolutely guard against overseas infiltrations via religious means and prevent ideological infringement by extremists.”
One core component of Marxism is historical materialism, which is defined by the Random House Dictionary as:
“the doctrine that all forms of social thought, as art or philosophy, and institutions, as the family or the state, develop as a superstructure founded on an economic base; that they reflect the character of economic relations and are altered or modified as a result of class struggles; that each ruling economic class produces the class that will destroy or replace it; and that dialectical necessity requires the eventual withering away of the state and the establishment of a classless society: the body of theory, in dialectical materialism, dealing with historical process and social causation.”
Ironically, reports indicate Christians now outnumber communist party members inside China, with Fenggang Yang, a professor of sociology at Purdue University and author of Religion in China: Survival and Revival under Communist Rule saying to Breitbart, “by my calculations China is destined to become the largest Christian country in the world very soon.”
China’s stance coincides with that of Silicon Valley billionaires, Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, who believe in trans-humanism, and have both discussed long-term planning for a post-human society — going as far as stating the goal of transporting humanity to colonies on other planets. Musk and Thiel have also both invested heavily in the development of artificial intelligence and quantum computing, technologies which boast the potential to replace the need for humans and provide an artificial immortality to the ultra rich.
For Christians, this move for a trans-humanist society is directly at odds with God’s word in Hebrews 9:27 which states: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Man can only live and die once, and the only attainable immortality is through the gift of salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ.
