Your government is paying to ‘study’ this
One example is a $1 million National Science Foundation grant given to a pro-transgender activist to study and encourage transgenderism among children as young as three years old.
A second example is almost $350,000 for a study to help lesbians enjoy contraceptives more.
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality says the federal government has been paying for similar studies for years, often with the funds going to far-left activists with an agenda.
“And so that’s why we would hope that the Trump administration would put an end to these biased projects,” he says. “We certainly don’t want our taxpayer dollars spent on promoting gender rebellion, extreme gender confusion, among children.”
The wasteful use of taxpayers’ money for outlandish studies is a frequent target of the Washington Free Beacon, the D.C.-based online newspaper, such as a multi-year, $3.5 million effort to discover why lesbians are obese.
A 2016 story reported on a $36 million ad campaign (see video below) by the FDA to encourage homosexuals and lesbians to quit smoking.
The more recent June 6 story didn’t disappoint, either: The National Institutes of Health is spending $347,176 to study which contraceptives are “sexually acceptable” to women with the goal of helping them enjoy the “social, economic, and health benefits” of being childless adults.
In many of these left-wing studies there is often a common thread of feminism and homosexual activism, and in the contraception study the Free Beacon predictably reported that the lead researcher is an associate professor of Gender and Women’s studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In the transgender story, LifeSiteNews reports that the funding will support a “TransYouthProject” that will follow children, ages 3-12, as they grow.
What’s happening in these studies, LaBarbera says, is immoral and confused people are benefitting from generous federal grant funds that go to left-wing causes.
“And the government should really stay out of it,” he complains. “The government shouldn’t be promoting this lifestyle or this agenda.”
The fact that these studies are continuing, he adds, is proof that the D.C. “swamp” is still operating.
