‘One-week’ revival in its 9th week

For the last two months, CT Townsend has been preaching to overflow crowds in Burlington, North Carolina. It started the week of Mother’s Day with one church and about 300 people … 750 attended the next week … and within the month, nightly crowds of 2,600 were busting out of a newly erected tent.
Last Thursday, 5,100 people from dozens of local churches were hearing the Word of God preached. Townsend tells OneNewsNow that hundreds are coming to Christ for the first time.
“People giving their hearts to Christ and responding to the gospel left and right – just incredible what God was doing,” he shares.
Why is revival breaking out in North Carolina? Townsend agrees with the Bible that Jesus is coming again soon.
“I believe the Bible and the prophecies that the Word of God talks about are being fulfilled right before our very eyes,” says the evangelist, “and I do not believe that God is going to allow his bride to go into the marriage supper limping.”
And has the Church starts turning back to the Lord, says Townsend, God promises to heal the land.
“Nobody wants to say it but everybody understands that a new Democrat or a new Republican is not going to fix our problems,” he concludes, “but that there is a higher power and there is a higher source – and his name is Jesus Christ.”
