The Mooch is Out: First Order of Business for General Kelly’s White House
July 31, 2017
After only 10 days at the job, newly appointed communications director Anthony Scaramucci is out.
U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to remove Scaramucci from his job as communications director, the New York Times reported on Monday, citing three unidentified people close to the decision.
The blunt-talking New York financier was brought on to help sort out the chaos reportedly roiling through the White House. In the wake of his appointment, former press secretary Sean Spicer and former chief of staff Reince Priebus both resigned.
News of Scaramucci’s removal came hours after Trump swore in a new chief of staff, retired General John Kelly. Politico reported the dismissal came at Kelly’s request, citing two unidentified White House officials.
