Parents, there are Christian schools, home school co-ops, and home schools, why are children still in public schools?

If children are sponges, the Left is a flood

Gender Unicorn (sex unknown)Pointing to the pro-homosexual propaganda aimed at our children, a longtime conservative leader says it’s time for parents to yank them from public schools.

Christian parents have no biblical mandate for subjecting their children to an environment that challenges what their own children are taught at home, says Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute.

Just one example, she says, is the ongoing fight over transgender students in which many public schools have sided with a left-wing cause over young girls’ privacy and safety.

“When you have an institution recognizing or requiring sexual integration of locker rooms and restrooms,” she says, “that’s a place that’s led by profoundly ignorant, profoundly foolish people.”

Would you favor your church using its resources and property to host a private school as an alternative to public school?

Finding more examples is not difficult.

OneNewsNow has reported on elementary students in Maine learning about “fluid” genders with a “Genderbread” diagram; a girls softball team in California forced to allow a transgender boy on the team; and a North Carolina school that dropped the use of “boys” and “girls” because the terms are bullying.

The 2016 story from North Carolina got the attention of Rev. Franklin Graham, who warned parents at the time that schools are attempting to “brainwash” innocent children.

OneNewsNow noted in the story that the school board claimed the controversy was overblown, although a principal admitted that teachers were instructed to avoid “gender-based” classroom activities.

Higgins says churches need to take a stand on behalf of Christian parents, providing classroom space and financing as an alternative to public schools.

Meanwhile she says, Christian parents have no biblical warrant for placing their children all day, all year long, in schools that “refuse to recognize the immutability and profound meaning of sexual differentiation.”
