Center for Medical Progress CEO charged in California
March 29, 2017
After its CEO David Daleiden was charged with 15 felonies on Tuesday, the Center for Medical Progress released a new video showing an abortionist discussing performing elective abortions on healthy unborn babies
(WASHINGTON, DC) The state of California charged pro-life investigators David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) with 15 crimes Tuesday.
CMP’s undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood executives haggling over the prices of aborted baby body parts spurred a Congressional investigation and calls for the abortion company to be stripped of its federal tax dollars.
“These bogus charges from Planned Parenthood’s political cronies are fake news,” said Daleiden in a statement to LifeSiteNews. “They tried the same collusion with corrupt officials in Houston, TX and both the charges and the DA were thrown out.”
David Daleiden added:
“The public knows the real criminals are Planned Parenthood and their business partners like StemExpress and DV Biologics—currently being prosecuted in Orange County—who have harvested and sold aborted baby body parts for profit for years in direct violation of state and federal law. I look forward to showing the entire world what is on our yet-unreleased video tapes of Planned Parenthood’s criminal baby body parts enterprise.”
On Wednesday the Center for Medical Progress released footage revealing a former Planned Parenthood abortionist named Dr. DeShawn Taylor allegedly discussing how she performs elective abortions on healthy unborn babies up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, and describing the situation she encounters if a baby is aborted showing some signs of life.
“In Arizona, if the fetus comes out with any signs of life, we’re supposed to transport it. To the hospital,” Dr. DeShawn Taylor said.
When asked by CMP’s undercover journalist if there is “any standard procedure for verifying signs of life?” Dr. Taylor responded, “The key is, you need to pay attention to who’s in the room, right?” Dr. Taylor caveated this response with a chuckle and added “It’s a mess. It’s a mess.”
