Pro-life supporters are asking the highest court in the land to examine an Alabama case they believe is another graphic example of the abortion industry.
More than two dozen states are urging the U.S. Supreme Court to review lower court decisions blocking Alabama’s law that prohibits what is known as “dismemberment abortions.”
American Center for Law and Justice is also defending the state law, and ACLJ senior counsel CeCe Heil says the current law bans “ripping” an unborn baby apart in the womb.

Heil tells OneNewsNow that the court brief ACLJ filed argues that the U.S. Constitution “does not compel states to treat unborn children less humanly than the worst criminals, or even animals.”
If there is procedure for putting a death row inmate to death, Heil says, then states have a right to regulate how an “innocent baby can be put to death.”
The abortion procedure is commonly done in the second trimester.
ACLJ says the Supreme Court may announce soon whether it will agree to hear case. AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to FacebookFacebook66Share to TwitterTwitterShare to EmailEmailShare to MoreMore12
