What everyone needs to know about abortion
The organization has gathered information on various aspects of the life vs. abortion issue ranging from legal cases to legislation. National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) President Carol Tobias tells OneNewsNow they estimate about 60 million children have died by abortion since it was legalized in 1973.
“That is based on information from both the Guttmacher Institute, which is the former research arm of Planned Parenthood and they have good relations within the abortion industry, as well as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which gets figures from most states,” Tobias explains.
The State of Abortion in the United States reviews Planned Parenthood’s finances, including the $1.5 billion it collects from the U.S. government. It also looks at passage of pro-life laws in Congress as well as in the states, where most of the success lies.
‘Whether it is the Pain-Capable Child Protection Act, a ban on dismemberment abortions so that children can’t be killed by having their arms and legs torn off in the abortion process, or telling women that if they start the chemical abortion process and then change their mind, if they act quickly enough and get treatment … they can still save their babies’ lives,” the pro-lifer relays.
The report further discusses polling, which continues to show strong support for limits on abortion. Tobias says it is a good, accurate source of information regardless of whether one supports or opposes abortion
