‘Son of Osama’ Calls for Open Rebellion
November 08, 2017
The younger bin Laden, believed to be 28 years old, called for “revenge on the Americans” for killing his father, according to a statement released by the terrorist organization’s as-Sahab Media Foundation. He also urged his followers “to incite the masses … until the preparations are complete and the masses are ready for an uprising.”
Hamza bin Laden reportedly said he rejected democracy, saying “freedom cannot be earned with worthless pieces of paper cast inside a ballot box.”
The al Qaeda founder’s son, rumored to have amassed the support of much of his father’s former network, had only been seen in photos from his childhood prior to a CIA release of documents from the 2011 Pakistan raid in which his father was killed. Among the files released was a video of Hamza’s wedding.
