Austria: Christian woman stabbed while reading Bible
January 03, 2017

Days after the Archbishop of Vienna addresses the migrant issue saying that Christianity is at risk, A woman is stabbed for reading the BIBLE in a migrant center.
A 50-year-old woman was attacked with a knife in the accommodation in Timelkam in Voecklamarkt in Upper Austria, as reported by Express.com. The writer of the story describes that her “winter jacket” saved her life, but others know to attribute her survival to a protector much stronger than a jacket, GOD.
Her alleged attacker is a 22-year-old man from Afghanistan who had taken offense to the fact that the woman had been invited by Christian residents of the property to discuss the bible. When he found out what she was doing, he stormed into the kitchen where the woman was standing and tried to plunge the knife into her upper body.
The woman is reported to have been wearing a thick winter coat making it more difficult for the knife to penetrate into her body. She did however, injure her ear after falling backwards from the man’s force. According to the report, when questioned by police, the man accepted he had overreacted but claimed he was suffering from ‘personal problems’.
He was taken to Wels Prison in Upper Austria. It is unclear if he has been charged yet. The horror attack happened just days after a teenager was battered by a group of migrant men in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
This incident occurs after the Archbishop of Vienna addressed the migrant issue during a Christmas Day TV show. He added that he was becoming “more cautious” in his attitude as migrants had arrived in “unbelievable number”.
He said: “We have had to learn, this [crisis] goes well beyond our capacity and ability.”
The Archbishop went on to describe the state of the country as “worried’.
