Nationwide protests planned at PP clinics
On Saturday, February 11, demonstrations will be held at Planned Parenthood locations in over 200 cities in 44 states. The coordinated effort, known as “Protest Planned Parenthood,” is being spearheaded by Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League.
According to Scheidler, the abortion business has been proven to be a criminal organization over the past two decades.
“They’ve been shielding child predators,” he tells OneNewsNow. “They’ve been lying about the services they provide, deceiving government officials. They’ve defied state and federal laws. They submit fraudulent Medicaid claims, and they harvest and sell fetal tissue, possibly criminally, at some of their abortion centers.”
The longtime pro-life leader contends that by intent and design, Planned Parenthood completely distorts the services it provides.
“They act as if American women, especially poor women, depend utterly on them,” he says. “But, in fact, Planned Parenthood, for example, provides less than two percent of annual manual breast exams, less than one percent of Pap tests, zero mammograms every year – yet 34 percent of the nation’s abortions. This is an abortion company that has a bit role to play in other kinds of healthcare.”
The demonstrations are intended to draw attention to the facts about the abortion corporation and to send Congress a message concerning the need for reallocation of tax dollars to local health clinics that provide far more services to poor women than Planned Parenthood ever has.
