Trudeau getting bashed by typically friendly media
The Canadian government has a summer jobs program it supports via grants to various businesses, organizations, and churches to give young people some practical training and experience in the job market. But Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently established a rule that those applying must agree to support his pro-abortion policies – or, as he put it, they must respect “reproductive rights,” including abortion on demand.
Mary Ellen Douglas of Campaign Life Coalition says criticism first came from Christian and pro-life groups, but now “it’s been wonderful” that the secular media is being vocal.
“We were able to step back and let the secular media take the lead,” she tells OneNewsNow, “because it spread right across the country – and everybody realizes what a terrible thing Justin Trudeau was suggesting.”
Among the latest media to criticize the prime minister’s edict is Toronto Sun columnist Lorne Gunter.
“The title of [Gunter’s column] is ‘It’s like Trudeau ranks pro-lifers as worse than jihadists’ – because jihadists are accepted in the country when they come back from ISIS locations, but pro-lifers are less than dirt. That’s basically where he puts us,” Douglas observes.
So the liberal Labor Party prime minister is being shredded by the liberal media, which generally supports him. Douglas says conservatives need to be united and not back down in the fight in a free country like Canada having a dictator determining citizens can’t have freedom of thought.
LifeNews.com, however, reports Trudeau is “digging in his heels” despite the fact his administration is being roundly criticized.
