Haley praised for raising alarm of BDS
“I commend her leadership and her tenacity,” says Laurie Cardoza-Moore of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations.
During recent testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Ambassador Haley defended the Trump administration’s call for a more than 30-percent reduction in U.S. funding of the United Nations. U.S. taxpayers, she said, won’t be taken for granted anymore.
The former governor also addressed her concerns about the Boycott Divestment Sanctions movement against Israel.
“I’m concerned that we may not be able to defeat this but we are trying extremely hard to show that this is something that cannot happen,” Haley said. “As governor in South Carolina we were the first state to fight it off. I know how dangerous and abusive this would be and so we will continue fighting this the whole way through.”
The issue of BDS is obviously “front and center” on Haley’s radar, says Cardoza-Moore, and PJN expects to work with her at the UN on the issue.
